According to www.fueleconomy.gov “Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling.”

And back pressure from exhaust is where part of the energy lost to engine. Reduce back by change the sport or race exhaust will increase the power of my engine.

Lower For Aggressive Handling

The MONO FLEX coilover kit has been developed for entry-level competition motorsports and advanced street driving. Features include 16-way damping force adjustability (combined compression and rebound), a mono-tube internal design, pillowball upper mounts, and EDFC compatibility. There are independent adjustments for ride-height and spring pre-load settings for increased suspension tuning. The new Mono Flex also includes TEIN's latest technological innovation, Micro Speed Valving (MSV) system, which allows the driver to feel a greater difference in damping force adjustments. Designed and developed for consumers seeking aggressive handling on the street and at the track.
The coilover improves handling of my 370Z. However body roll can't be fix by this coilover...

Weight Reduction (Battery)

After I drove the Cayman I find that it has a perfect weight balanced. Feel like a F430! My 370Z is way far behind the Cayman. Weight Distribution is a major different between the two, Cayman has it engine in the middle and 370Z has it in the front. In the corner the Cayman was turning as if it is running on a rail. Time to make more change on my 370Z. Reduce weight will help a bit.

Equations for Weight Conversion:
  • Curb Weight (metric) = EU1 Weight - 68kg for driver - 7 kg for cargo + (0.1 X Fuel Capacity in liter X 0.76)
  • EU Weight (metric) = Curb Weight + 68 kg for driver + 7 kg for cargo - (0.1 X Fuel Capacity in liter X 0.76)
  • 1 KG = 2.2 pounds
    • 1 US Gallon = 3.8 liters
    • Weight of 1 US Gallon of Gasoline = 6.35 pounds (2.87 kg)

Fear

Some years ago Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear test-drove a 350Z on a mountain road and he refused to put the 350Z to far. He said the Z is more like an America muscle car, it has lot of power but not much handling. That's my first impression of the Z. However for the new 370z, will it the same story? Sat in my new 370Z, I should be happy. But for some reason, I got the feeling that this car didn't belong to me. The car is powerful, good looking, and .... there were something missing! The only thing I can feel is fear!

From FWD to RWD

Gave up the 2008 CIVIC SI and traded it to 370Z. When I first saw the 370Z in the showroom I like it. Even without a test drive I took the one in the showroom. When I took my 2009 370Z, My 370Z is one of the first shipment dealership received. No one has it on the road, yet.  Therefore when I went lot a local car meet with my bone stock Z, it draw a lot of attention. People surround the Z asked me how much hp it has, is it able to beat the EVO X, some asked me to open the hood and some even asked me to race them. And I told them it’s stock and it’s only had 100km on it. That night I went with a C63 and I was surprise that the C63 won’t able to past me. It’s a fine car I like it, but I haven’t fall in love with it yet.
